I am so thankful to have my mother here for Thanksgiving!
In June she had open-heart surgery to have an Aortic Valve Replacement. It was very scary for all of us. I can't even fathom how she got the courage to agree to have the procedure done. The surgery went better than expected, She was to of the hospital in less than one week. Back at home for a long recovery period, which for her, didn't take as long as expected.
My mom has amazed me with her strength and courage!
I love her so much ~
My mom stopped by with fall treats. Sophia and Dan carved pumpkins and Makala made miniature pumpkin cupcakes for the school Cake Walk. I am the picture taker for such an event. This time I tried my hand at carving an amazing pumpkin from a stencil, needless to say, I did not complete the project. My pumpkin will sit turned around backwards, on our porch, for Halloween night!
